Ramps! 10 ways to spice up your ramp unit!

What can you do with a ramp?????

1) Race different things, cars, balls, toy turtles (their choice), different shapes of tomatoes!

2) Experiment. Ask questions: Which one is the fastest? Why? What angle works best? What materials work best

3) Bump it up! Bumps on the ramp and on the floor

4) Be creative-you can decorate the ramp with paint, markers, crayons...

5) Materialize- Which works best? cardboard, wood, plastic, tubes?

6) Games- Whose car goes the farthest? Fastest? which one can get closer to the target?

7) All ages-infants love watching stuff slide down ramps, toddlers love to push, preschoolers love to race, kids love to explore!

8) Hypothesize- guess which one works best

9) Change-move the ramp, change the material, go outside, inside, move it while racing objects down it

10) GO UP! Turn the experiment upside

down and have them try to make them go up-push, rubber band, slingshot, etc!
